2020 - back to the roots

For Léa, the lockdown was an opportunity to return to her roots in her native region, Auvergne.

During these months, she rediscovered the scents of his childhood, like the oak moss from a walk in the woods, the morning dew delicately laid over the garden or the vegetables from his grandmother's garden.

She travelled through the senses into its own landscape.

2021 - the idea

It is often said that perfume is an invitation to travel but it's often a long way away... Bora-Bora, Japan...

So Léa decided to offer olfactory journeys to the heart of France.

2021 - the meeting

Léa presented her project for perfumes inspired by the French landscapes to different perfumers and decided to entrust the creation of the formulas to Marie & Patrice from the independent lab Maelstrom.

After several months' work on formulas, suppliers, packaging and brand image...

Poécile was born.

2024 - 3 years later

  • 5 fragrances developed
  • 2 sizes (50 and 15ml)
  • + 12 000 fragrances sold
  • + More than 100 retailers
  • in 20 countries, from Costa Rica to the United States and Vietnam
  • a dozen trade fairs and events (in France and abroad)
  • loyalty with our partners (perfumers, suppliers, customers, etc.)
  • the 6th fragrance in preparation

Why Poécile?

It was while observing the birds' dance from her garden in Auvergne that Léa chose the name for her brand. Poécile. This is the scientific name of the titmouse. The titmouse is a charming little bird that can be found in our French gardens. The bird symbolises travel and moves through the air. Just like the perfume that is carried by the air.
